Clayton Guiltner

Clayton Guiltner (Director), recent New York directing credits include The Pretentious Young Ladies (Grex Group Theatre), The Hairy Ape (Sanguine Theatre Company), The Bear (Bridge Theatre), Same Time, Next Country (Chashama Theatre), and Panda (Triad Theatre).  Recent regional directing credits include Guests for Dinner (The William Inge Theatre), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park), Into The Woods (Muskogee Little Theatre), Dead Man's Cell Phone and The 39 Steps (Southern Arkansas University),  Is He Dead? (University of Oklahoma), and The Music Man (Southern Nazarene University).  Acting credits include The Foreigner (Charlie), All My Sons (Chris), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Hysterium), 84 Charing Cross Road (Frank Doel), The Miser (The Miser), Absurd Person Singular (Sydney Hopcroft), and Lend Me A Tenor (Henry Saunders).  Clayton also toured nationally with the Act One Drama Company (multiple acting and directing roles).  Mr. Guiltner holds an M.F.A. in Directing, an M.A. in Leadership, a B.A. in Theatre, and has several professional training credits including master workshops in voice and movement and youth theatre from The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and the ACTER organization based in London.  As a director and acting coach, Clayton maintains creative professional development, and recently attended preview rehearsals at The Mint Theatre in New York as a guest of Artistic Director Jonathan Bank, as well as The Actor's Studio in Los Angeles, California, as a guest of veteran television and film director/actor Lou Antonio.  Clayton is a proud associate member of The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and is Production Editor of The Voice And Speech Review for the Voice and Speech Trainers Association.  He currently serves as the Producing Artistic Director for the Grex Group Theatre in New York, and is Assistant Professor of Theatre - Acting and Directing for Southern Arkansas University's Department of Theatre and Mass Communication.  He also serves as a respondent for the Region VI Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

Cynthia Shaw as Mrs. Alving / Irene / Ellida

Cynthia Shaw (Mrs. Alving / Irene / Ellida) is thrilled to be working again with director, Clayton Guiltner. She recently returned from Kentucky Repertory Theatre where she played lead roles in Neil Simon's The Good Doctor and Elizabeth Fuller's Jezebel and Me, a role which she will be reprising this November at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre at The Abingdon Theatre Complex. NY Theatre: Marat/Sade (Theatre 54 at Shetler), The Giver (Secret Theatre), Time Traveling with Cannibals (Spoon Theatre), Prom Night of the Living Dead (Players Theatre-voted audience favorite in the Shortened Attention Span Horror Festival), NY Christmas Revels (Symphony Space). Film: Lead role in John Orrichio's feature horror film, Evil's Lair and supporting roles in three feature films, King of Fitness, Mount Joy and 100 Proof. Lead roles in two recent independent films, Maderling Suquet's The Unexpected and Wajahat Abbasi’s The Saturday Post and numerous other student and short films. Playing a lead in A Girl in Glass, the film was selected as Best Short Narrative Drama by the Trenton Film Society’s Not Quite Legal Festival and was the Official Selection for the NY Filmmaker’s Festival. Natalie Harris as Maia and Nora

Natalie Harris (Maia and Nora) has an extensive theatre background in acting, as well as positions on stage and off. Recent New York Credits include Cat's Cradle (Player's Theatre). Other regional credits include MacBeth, Almost Maine, All My Sons, & Romeo and Juliet (Wallace Theatre, Riverside, California). Natalie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre from California Baptist University in Riverside, California and has trained at the Broadway Dance Center. Natalie is excited to work with the Grex Group Theatre.

Robert Eigen as Helmer / Professor Rubek

Robert Eigen (Helmer / Professor Rubek) has appeared in over forty New York stage productions.  Recent stage credits include: The Pretentious Young Ladies (Gorgibus) The Bald Soprano (Fire Chief), Three Sisters (Chebutykin), 27 Wagons Full of Cotton (Jake Meighan), Saint Joan (Earl of Warwick), The Hairy Ape (Paddy), a solo show titled Countless Voices:The Forgotten Souls of 9/11 (Lido, Jacob, Gloria, Joaquin), and Like Yesterday (Sam) both written by his wife, Awilda Bravo (oneactplay.net). Recent television Commercials include: Pennsylvania State Lottery, Dryel , Urge Music, ESPN, WWE, AXE, Showtime, Ron Rico Rum, and Alvatek Tools. William Kozy as Manders / The Stranger

William Kozy (Manders / The Stranger) is excited to be working with Clayton Guiltner again. Recent New York stage credits include Private Lives and Bus Stop (City Island Theatre), Summer and Smoke (Source Theatre), A Few Good Men (Curtain Call Theatre), New Roomates (Samuel French Festival); Feature Film credits include Chasing Amy (Mirimax), Dead Dogs Lie (Big Slick Entertainment), Lysistrata (MacMillan Films / PBS-TV). Televtion credits include Travel Channel Secrets (Travel Channel), Real Jokes (HBO). William holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Georgetown University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Film from New York Univeristy.

Jonny Schroeder as Wangel

Jonny Schroeder (Wangel) has several New York and Regional acting credits including a recent performance with the Grex Group Theatre as The Viscount Jodelet in The Pretentious Young Ladies. Other credits include: Risk (Joshua) , Creation of the World and Other Business (Azreal), Romeo and Juliet (Tybalt), Sylvia (Tom/Leslie/Phillis), Honus and Me (Sportswriter), Greetings (Andy), Bram Stoker’s Dracula (Renfield), Love’s Labor’s Lost (Dumain), and Good Morning Athens (Herodotus). He holds a B.F.A. in Acting from the University of Wyoming.

Lauren Friedlander as Narrator

Lauren Friedlander (Narrator) is so thrilled to be working with the Grex Group again after appearing in their inaugural production of Moliere's The Pretentious Young Ladies. Previous credits include FaustX (Kipuka Theatre), Looking Glass Theatre's Summer Showcase, and Oleanna (Living Room Theatre, Kansas City.) She graduated with a B.A. in Theatre from Oberlin College. Nevin Edmundson as Narrator

Nevin Edmundson (Narrator) is thrilled to be making his New York Debut with the Grex Group Theatre. Nevin studies acting under Clayton Guiltner, and has several collegiate acting credits, including Dwight in Dead Man's Cell Phone, The Writer in The Good Doctor, Clown Two in The 39 Steps, and Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night. Nevin is a sophomore working toward a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Southern Arkansas University.

Tim Wall, Co-Producer / Pianist

Tim Wall (Co-Producer / Pianist) is excited to work with the Grex Group Theatre alongside his longtime friend and collaborator, Clayton Guiltner. Tim toured nationally with the Act One Drama Company where he served as an actor and musical director for several years. He has written, composed, and directed several theatrical and musical productions and has led many ensembles, choirs, and orchestras throughout his career. Tim has over 30 years of piano experience and holds a Bachelor of Music Theory from Baylor University with an emphasis in Jazz Piano. Currently, Timothy is the Marketing Director for a globally-recognized web software company. As a co-producer for the Grex Group, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing and research and is excited to serve on the Grex Team for Ibsen's Women!

Casey Wright, Dramaturg

Casey Wright (Dramaturg) served as a consultant on the Grex Group Theatre's recent production of The Pretentious Young Ladies in New York. Other regional dramaturgy credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream (Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park), Springs Awakening, Circle Mirror Transformation, and The Drunken City (University of Oklahoma). Casey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and English Literature from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, and a Master of Arts in Dramaturgy from The University of Oklahoma.

Lisa Reinke, Talkback Moderator

Lisa Reinke (Talkback Moderator) holds a B.A. in Theatre and English (Florida State University), a Master of Arts in Performance Studies (New York University), A Master's of Philosophy in Theatre (CUNY), and is currently completing her Ph.D in Theatre at The Graduate Center CUNY. Lisa is an adjunct lecturer in theatre, and has taught at Brooklyn College, College of Staten Island, LaGuardia Community College, and Bourough of Manhattan Community College. She has a variety of playwriting and performance credits.

Sarah M. Chichester, Stage Manager

Sarah M. Chichester (Stage Manager) is delighted to be apart of Ibsen's Women after writing Opposites Attract for Grex Groups Insomniacs Festival. She has a B.A. in Theatre Arts from SUNY Fredonia and is currently an M.A. candidate in Educational Theatre at NYU. Favorite stage managing credits include Letters to Kurt (Theatre Row), The Ephemeral Lightness of Dreams (Bleecker St. Theatre), and is also currently assistant directing and stage managing a production of Waiting for Lefty that goes up on November 1st. She thanks Grex Group for the opportunity to work with them again.

Caleb Jones, Lighting Technician

Caleb Jones (Lighting Technician) New York Technical Credits include Insomniacs 24 Hour Play Festival (Grex Group Theatre). Collegiate Lighting Design credits include The 39 Steps, Royal Gambit. Other credits include Dead Man's Cell Phone (Stage Manager), I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Assistant Stage Manager), The Good Doctor, (Prop Master), Lend Me A Tenor (Prop Master), and Moonlight and Magnolia (Prop Crew). Caleb plans to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Southern Arkansas University in 2014.

Jane Baker, House Manager

Jane Baker (House Manager) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Saint Mary's College in South Bend, IN, where she held many positions such as assistant director, stage manager, and assistant stage manager. She also has experience in lighting crews, scenic artist crews, and carpentry crew. A few of her most recent credits include Stage Management for Into The Woods, Rabbit Hole, and Eurydice.

Christopher Fitzer, Graphic Designer

Christopher Fitzer (Graphic Designer) is currently the Assistant Scene Designer at Flat Rock Playhouse and holds a BFA in Drama from the University of Oklahoma. His scene design credits include By the Bog of Cats (World Literature Today/Puterbaugh Festival), Gypsy (Oklahoma City Theater Company), 9 Parts of Desire and A Piece of My Heart (The University of Oklahoma). As a graphic designer, he has worked with Grex Group Theatre, Sanguine Theatre Company, 2 x 4 Repertory Theatre, and The University of Oklahoma School of Drama. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Producer for 2 x 4 Repertory Theatre.
